Q1: What is the filtration efficency of YAOTAI air filter element?
Frequently asked questions

A: In general, air filters and filter elements do not specify their "micron value". “Micron value” are typically used in liquid filtration systems. It is based on industry standards (SAEJ726
standard) to assess air filter life and efficiency. According to the air filter test regulation SAEJ726: It takes the ratio of which the air filter can capture the dirt in the intake air as the
filtration accuracy.

Q2: After I replaced the air filter, the pressure indicator reading was abnormally high. What is the reason?
A: Typically, this condition indicates that the intake system may block parts of the air filter (such as the air intake sieve, rain hat, and air intake pipeline, etc.). Please check the relevant
parts carefully.

Q3: Is it possible to check whether the air filter should be maintained or not by viusal inspection. Do we need to do replacement for the air filter when it is found to be full of dust?

A: It is not a reliable method to determine whether the air filter should be replaced and maintained by visual inspection. Measuring the differential pressure of the air intake resistance is the
most reliable way to determine if the air filter has reached the end of its service life. The filtration efficiency of the air filter varies with the time of use. The new air filter that has never been
used has the lowest filtration efficiency. As the use time elapse, the dust filtered by the filter element accumulates on the outer surface of the filter element, which will increase the filtration
efficiency of the filter element. Therefore, if the surface of the air filter has a thin layer of ash, the air filter can work more efficiently. Using a differential pressure indicator is the most reliable
way to determine when to replace an air filter.

Q4: The environment we are in is very poor, and it is useless to use the best filter?

A: The environment around us is very bad. Some people say: in this case, is it useless of replacing air filters from time to time? In fact, this is a misunderstanding. The outside air is a open
environment, though the air is very bad, it can flow and never be concentrated due to the flow. However, case in car is different. It is a closed space. The pollution will be very high and the
damage to the human body will be relatively high. So to avoid this, we need to choose high quality conditioning filter.

Q5: Is the replacement of the air filter based on the distance of use (km) or the time of use (hours)?

A: The air filter should only be replaced according to the method specified by the engine or equipment manufacturer, or replaced by the air pressure drop measured by the air pressure
differential indicator.

Q6: My main filter is broken, there is no problem with the safety filter, can I use only the safety filter to run the engine?

A: This must not be done. The safety filter is definitely not a spare filter. The function of the safety filter element is to prevent dirt from entering the engine during maintenance work.
Compared with the main filter element, the safety filter medium is small, the filtration efficiency is low, and the dust holding capacity is small. When there is only a safety filter, the engine
must not be operated.Q9: The stronger the adsorption and filtration capacity of the carbin air filter, the worse the permeability is ?

Q7: The stronger the adsorption and filtration capacity of the carbin air filter, the worse the permeability is ?

A: The high-quality cabin air filter not only has high filtration and adsorption capacity, but also has high permeability and thus can ensure the ventilation of the air conditioner, by the benifits
of using advanced filter media, which is also the result of through years of Yaotai’s technology exploration and experience

Q8: Why are high quality air filter so expensive?

A: Filter paper occupies a large cost in the air filter, and some of them are more than 80%. In order to lower cost, inferior filters use low quality fiter paper. Furthermore, this cannot be
directly found by ordinary consumers, so the manufacturer can get huge profits through low prices. By this way, some manufacturers not only save a lot of research and development test
costs but also save a lot of costs of filter paper. Therefore, it is not surprising that the price is low.

Q9: Can the filter be used as long as the installed size is matching?

A: Filters are used to protect the engine and equipment from wearing caused by dirt.Experiments have shown that for diesel engines, only a hundred grams of dust can cause problems such
as wear and pulling of the engine. It can be seen that if the performance index of the filter can not meet the technical requirements of the engine and the original equipment factory, then
a large amount of dust and dirt will enter the engine, resulting in a decrease in engine performance or even an overhaul in advance. Therefore, if it only imitates the outer dimensions of the
original filter element, and the filter cannot meet the requirements of the production process and performance specifications of the equipment in terms of filter material selection, the
engine will lose its protection and the performance will be reduced, resulting in shortened service life.

Q10: What is the micron accuracy value of the filter element?

A: Micron precision values are associated with the filter element and are used to indicate the ability of the filter element to filter a certain size of particles. The Beta ratio values derived from
the Multi-pass test are currently used to accurately determine the ability of the filter to remove particles of a certain size. The Beta value is a value that is suitable for measuring the efficiency
of various types of liquid filter elements. It is the ratio of the amount of particles in the liquid that is larger than the number of particles allowed to pass through the filter element and the
amount of particles retained after filtration through the filter element.

Q11: How do I know that the fuel filter should be replaced? What causes the fuel filter to be blocked?

A:The general engine manufacturer will specify the replacement cycle. Donaldson recommends that the customer replace the fuel filter according to the indication of the fuel differential
pressure indicator, which is similar to the differential pressure indicator of the intake system. If the engine is underpowered and difficult to start, the possibility of the fuel filter being
blocked is not ruled out. Under normal circumstances, the rubber material in the fuel, mold and other organic matter and wax and other impurities will cause the fuel filter to be blocked.

Q12: What is the role of YAOTAI's oil-water separation filter?

A: Water is the most harmful impurity in fuel. Water can corrode parts of fuel system, causing wear of key components, promoting microbial growth and causing blockages and interrupting
combustion. Especially for high-pressure fuel systems, fuel is injected into the cylinder through high-pressure. In order to obtain higher pressure, components such as injectors need to have
high pressure resistance, while high-pressure parts require lubricity, but water will lose fuel. Give the parts the necessary lubricity. YAOTAI's highly efficient oil-water separation filter series
uses specially treated filter media to effectively remove water and impurities from the fuel to ensure the cleanest and cleaner fuel is supplied to the engine.

Q13: What is the difference between a diesel crude filter and a fine filter?

A: Diesel coarse filter elements are usually placed at the oil suction end of the fuel pump, requiring low resistance due to the low pressure of the oil suction. The main task of the coarse
filter is to protect the oil pump and to relieve the burden of the fine filter (if installed). The coarse filter element generally has a nominal filtration accuracy of 10-30 microns (microns). The
diesel fine filter element is generally placed between the oil pump and the fuel pump (or injector), and the fine filter element will provide full protection to the fuel pump (injector). The
diesel fine filter is placed behind the oil pump and will withstand higher pressures with higher filtration accuracy (rated filtration accuracy is 2-10 microns).

Q14:Why do you need a good oil filter?

A: More specifically, it should be a filter oil filter that requires high filtration efficiency. The filter with high filtration efficiency can filter out more harmful impurities more effectively, protect
the engine from contaminated particles, and greatly reduce the maintenance cost of the engine. To extend the life of the engine.

Q15:Why do you use the YAOTAI oil filter to make the waste oil look clearer? This shows that it is possible to extend the replacement cycle?

A:The high single pass efficiency of the YAOTAI oil filter is more effective in intercepting harmful impurities in the oil and avoiding damage to engine components. Therefore, there are fewer
impurities in the oil and the used oil looks clearer. In addition to anti-wear, anti-oxidation and other functions, if the engine can confirm that the oil can continue to be used, the oil can
theoretically extend the replacement cycle.

Q16: Is the filtration accuracy of the oil filter element as high as possible?

A: For an engine or equipment, an appropriate filter should achieve a balance between filtration efficiency and ash content. The use of a filter element with excessive filtration accuracy
may result in a shortened service life of the filter element due to the low volume of the filter element, thereby increasing the risk of the oil passing the bypass valve due to the oil filter
element being clogged.

Q17: What is the difference between a full-flow filter and a bypass filter in an oil lubrication system?

A: In engine oil filtration systems, lubricating oil through the full flow filter will lubricate engine components (such as superchargers, valve rocker arms, piston cooling nozzles, etc.). The
lubricating oil passing through the bypass filter accounts for 10% of the total lubricating oil, and the filtration with higher filtration precision is directly returned to the oil sump through
the lubricating oil of the bypass filter. Due to the limited filtration capacity of the full-flow oil filter, it is not possible to filter out all impurities in the oil. Therefore, the impurities are filtered
through the bypass filter to keep the lubricating oil clean.

Q18: What is the function of the bypass valve and check valve in the oil filter? How do I know if my filter has a bypass valve and a check valve?

A: A bypass valve is installed in the oil filtering system, and the purpose is to temporarily allow the oil to reach the parts of the engine that need lubrication after the filter element is blocked
by excessive impurities, thereby avoiding greater loss. The check valve is a component that is installed in the filter to prevent the filter from running empty. In practice, depending on the
application requirements of the vehicle or equipment, an oil filter may or may not contain a bypass valve or a one-way valve, and whether or not various valves are determined by the design
of the engine manufacturer. It is recommended that you refer to the technical parameters of the filter or related instructions.
