The maintenance of the three filters of air compressors mainly pays attention to the following matters:

1. Maintenance of intake air filter element

The air filter is a component that filters out dust and dirt in the air. The clean air after filtering enters the compression chamber of the screw rotor for compression. Because the internal clearance of the screw machine only allows particles within 15u to be filtered out. If the air filter is blocked and damaged, a large number of particles larger than 15u will enter the screw machine for circulation, which will not only greatly shorten the service life of the oil filter and oil-fine separation core, but also cause a large number of particles to directly enter the bearing cavity, accelerate bearing wear, increase the rotor gap, reduce compression efficiency, and even cause the rotor to dry and bite.

2. Maintenance of the oil-gas separator

The oil-gas separator is a component that separates the screw lubricating oil from the compressed air. Under normal operation, the service life of the oil-gas separator is about 3000 hours, but the quality of the lubricating oil and the filtration accuracy of the air have a huge impact on its life. It can be seen that the maintenance and replacement cycle of the air filter must be shortened in harsh use environments, and even consider installing a pre-air filter. It must be replaced after exceeding 0.12Mpa. Otherwise, the motor will be overloaded and the oil-gas separator will be damaged and leak oil.

3. Maintenance of the oil filter

The oil core should be replaced after the first 500 hours of operation of the new machine. Use a special wrench to reverse the oil filter element and remove it. It is best to add screw oil before installing the new filter element. Use both hands to screw the filter element seal back to the oil filter seat and tighten it firmly. It is recommended to replace the new filter element every 1500-2000 hours. It is best to replace the oil filter element at the same time when changing the engine oil. The replacement cycle should be shortened when used in harsh environments. It is strictly forbidden to use the oil filter element beyond the deadline. Otherwise, due to serious blockage of the filter element, the pressure difference exceeds the tolerance limit of the bypass valve, the bypass valve automatically opens, and a large amount of dirt and particles will directly enter the screw main engine with the random oil, causing serious consequences. The replacement of the oil filter element and the diesel filter element of the diesel screw engine should follow the maintenance requirements of the diesel engine, and the replacement method is similar to the screw engine oil core.

Replacement method: Remove the control pipe joints installed on the oil and gas barrel cover. Take out the return oil pipe extending into the oil and gas barrel on the oil and gas barrel cover, and remove the fastening bolts of the oil and gas barrel cover. Remove the upper cover of the oil and gas barrel and take out the oil. Remove the asbestos pad and dirt stuck on the upper cover. Install the new oil and gas separator. Note that the upper and lower asbestos pads must be stapled and the asbestos pads must be placed neatly when pressed, otherwise it will cause pad collision. Reinstall the upper cover, oil return pipe, and control pipes as they were, and check for leaks.
